How to buy tickets for ELHC end-of-season dinner

Tickets for East London’s Hockey Club’s 2026 end-of-season dinner will be available for purchase every Friday for the next month.

This year, the club has decided to release tickets in batches of 50 at a flat rate of £55. You can buy your ticket through the Teamo app.

The event will be held at the Fox, near the Excel, on Saturday 18 April. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how the event and how to buy your ticket.

How do I buy and end of season dinner ticket?

Head to your Teamo app, and click the ‘calender’ button in the bottom right of the screen. Scroll down until you see the event, which is on the 18th of April.

Click on the event, and under ‘event info’ you will see ‘EoS Regular’ with ‘buy now’ on the right. Click through and purchase your ticket.

The cost of your ticket will be added onto your Teamo direct debit, and will be deducted from your account at the next payment window, alongside your membership fee and match fees.

Clicking ‘attending’ on the event as you would a match does not reserve a ticket.

I’ve bought my ticket but it says ‘pending’ – does that mean I still have it?

In short, yes. The ‘pending’ label means your ticket has been reserved and will be included in your next direct debit payment.

Why is the club releasing tickets in batches this year?

In previous years, ELHC has released tickets all in one go, with lower prices for those who purchased tickets early.

However, given the event’s popularity, these ‘early bird’ tickets would often sell out immediately, forcing most members to pay higher prices. This year, tickets are all sold at a flat rate of £55.

We have instead chosen to sell tickets in batches this year, as is common practice in the events industry. Each Friday, 50 tickets will be made available. If you are busy and miss out, another 50 will be made available the following week.

This allows the club to maintain sales momentum, and ensure that we can provide accurate attendance numbers to the venue early.

How many tickets will there be?

Last year, we sold roughly 180 tickets for the dinner, making it by far the club’s most popular event of the season. This year, we are increasing capacity and hope to sell closer to 230 tickets.

Tickets will initially be sold in batches of 50, with the final batch of all remaining tickets made available closer to the event.

This year ELHC celebrates its 35th anniversary, and a table has already been set aside for the club’s old boys.

What food will be on offer?

TBC. The social secs are currently in talks with the venue, and a menu will be sent round in the coming weeks.

Typically food choices are done with a Google Form, which will be sent to members who have bought a ticket. Make sure you do not miss this, as this will be your chance to flag any dietary requirements you may have.

I bought a ticket but I can no longer make it – can I resell it?

Members who bought a ticket they can no longer use may sell it on to other members on an informal basis. There will be no way to sell the ticket back to the club via Teamo.

Please inform the social secretaries of any ticket swaps as early as possible, including any changes to menu choices or dietary requirements.

The event is incredibly popular, and spare tickets usually always find a home.

Will there be any free tickets or concessions for volunteers?

There will be no free attendance to the end-of-season dinner this year.

Instead, the club intends to reward the club’s top volunteers with credits, through Teamo, at the end of the season when all hours have been calculated. They will also be recognised on the night.

The club is always eager to ensure those in financial difficulty can participate in events. If you would like to ask about concessions, please contact the treasury at elhctreasury@gmail.com

What actually happens at the event?

The end-of-season dinner is a black-tie event. There will be a brief drinks reception, followed by a sit-down meal.

The event also includes an award ceremony, where we will recognise the efforts of those who contributed most to ELHC throughout the season.

If you were presented with an award last year, you will be asked to return it in the weeks leading up to the event.
